Can the F-Pace cope when the roads get twisty?
A lot of SUV vehicles suffer from the dreaded body-roll. Where you go into a turn and it feels as if you are on a boat, leaning into the corner as you go around. There are several ways to make an SUV corner with more efficiently. One technique is to introduce a 4WD system. This means all four wheels can help to get the heavy SUV round the bend. Another way to get an SUV to corner better? Bring the chassis and suspension setup from a coupe or saloon car, and tweak it. Needless to say, the extra weight that an SUV has means the suspension needs to be beefier. But, that means making the whole vehicle heavier. So, there is a thin line between getting it right and getting it wrong. In the case of the Jaguar F-Pace, it's exactly right. It almost handles like a saloon car! That is understandable, as a lot of the underpinnings come from the F-Type. Unfortunately, it does not get the same supercharged V8 under the hood. But the 3.0 V6 is something worth mentioning, it's a very capable engine, we go into more detail, keep reading to find out more.

We are not going to discuss 0-60 times for an SUV like this. So if that is what you have been waiting for, you can stop reading now! We will state that the speed of this Jaguar is not too disappointing. It's certainly not what you would call "fast", but it isn't "slow" either. The engine and gearbox are fantastic! The 3.0 V6 produces an amazing amount of power and torque, and it translates to the road very well. Utilising all the power at it's disposal. We have already touched on the ride and handling, and, it's also a great end result. As close to saloon handling it could be, while still being a heavy SUV. The MPG and running costs won’t burn a hole in your pocket either, it's respectable. The interior and technology inside the cabin are also a good quality! Torque, torque, and more torque: The powerhouse of the Jaguar F-Pace
The 3.0 V6 diesel engine in this Jaguar F-Pace comes with a serious amount of torque. Heard of the expression "couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding?" well this would pull the skin off 1000 rice pudding simultaneously. Is that good? Whatever the case, it's got LOADS of torque at it's disposal. That is great for pulling away, and off-road driving, if anyone even uses SUV's for that anymore. But it's not great for top end speed. This 3.0 Diesel engine lacks brute power at the top end of the revs, and this is exactly where the TDI-Tuning Box comes into play. The TDI-Tuning Chip Tuning Box increases power across the rev range and also evens out the torque curve. This means useable power, in every gear, regardless of the engine speed.
