The SQ5's Turbocharged V6 TFI 3.0 litre engine produces 335 BHP as standard. It also produces 700 NM between 1370 and 4500 RPM. Ultimately, it's still a big, heavy car, so you shouldn't be too impressed with the speed, although, it's no slouch. What's it like to drive as standard?

It's fun. It's fast. It's practical. Audi don't put an 'S' or an 'RS' before anything exciting, and that is true here as well. Although, if you want to corner as fast as possible with no compromise, we would suggest going for the S3 or S5. But for practicality, looks, and a decent amount of speed, this SQ5 offers everything you need. Out of the various drive modes available we would choose the dynamic mode. It feels surpassingly agile and corners very flat. The steering is incredibly sensitive, almost twitchy. The engine and exhaust aren't too obnoxious, in fact, we would say that it's a little on the quiet side. It does help give the whole car a refined feel. With the interior adding to that theme as well, well placed and 'nice feeling' buttons. This SQ5 also grips, a lot. So much so that 90% of drivers wont even get close to the limit of grip, just because it feels so wrong to be cornering at that sort of speed in an car this size.

What's it like to drive tuned with a TDI Chip Tuning Box?

The Audi SQ5, with it's 4WD system and strengthened chassis weighs around 2 tonne. Not a light car by any means. It does have 335 BHP and 700 NM as standard, so it does have the power to tug it around! But with an additional 74 BHP and 112 NM, it is a completely transformed vehicle. The car has all the technological aids such as intelligent traction control to keep it on the road. So the added power isn't wasted wheel spinning in a cloud of white smoke. It's useable power that's delivered in a linear fashion. This means more power throughout the entire rev range.
