What’s a Motorhome Tuning Box?
A tuning box is an improved remap delivery system with several big benefits. Whereas a remap is a permanent change to the ECU (the computer controlling the engine) a TDI-Tuning tuning box is traceless once removed from the engine (a process that only takes a couple of minutes).
How Does a Tuning Box Improve My Motor Home?
In the motorhome sector, you have a single engine being used in many different vehicles so standard factory mapping is often not the best option for your vehicle and driving style. The biggest benefit of a tuning box for your motorhome is increased torque and fuel economy. TDI-Tuning can refine low-end torque by increasing power which in-turn reduces the labouring your engine does at low RPMs. This gets you up into the more fuel efficient range of gears quicker and reduces fuel expenditure.
Will A Tuning Box Affect My Motorhomes Warranty?
If you sell your motorhome and want ECU enhancements on your new vehicle you can unplug your tuning box and send it into TDI-Tuning headquarters where we’ll reprogram it and send it out for you to use in your new vehicle for a comparatively small fee. The new owners of your old vehicle are left with an original unmodified engine, even a garage couldn’t tell a tuning box had been fitted once it’s removed.
